  • Inspired by the ethereal elegance of the Nubian Gergar, this boot translates the "transparent" legacy of the royal garment into a modern silhouette. Crafted from delicate black lace and transparent mesh, the design mirrors the sheer, flowing layers traditionally worn by Nubian queens.

  • The term Gergar is derived from the Old Nubian word “Ger-Go-Ar,” meaning “the transparent.” It is a central piece of Nubian identity and heritage, known for its distinct sheer fabric and historical significance.
The Gergar was originally a royal garment, worn by queens and princesses in ancient Nubia. Over time, it evolved into a traditional symbol of Nubian feminine identity across all social classes.

  • This collection is crafted with the same delicate precision as the royal Nubian garments that inspired it.

To preserve the beauty of your handmade pair, please handle with care and avoid contact with rough surfaces or sharp objects that may catch the fabric, as its fine threads are sensitive by nature.

When not in use, we recommend storing your shoes in their protective dust bag
